Have you ever needed to rememeber something that popped up on your screen? Ever been to a site like flicker and wanted to save a private photo or a a image made by a flash object? Take a large picture of your avatar on IMVU? Need a screen shot from your windows desktop? Here is the key. Windows XP users can take screen shots of anything on your screen. It's this simple. On a standard keyboard simply Press the PRINT SCREEN Button. Or PRT SCRN on some keyboards. After pressing the PRT SCRN button the screen is turned into an image and is stored on the clip board. To view edit and save it simply goto MSPAINT or some kind of image program and click EDIT then PASTE. What you done is copy the screen and pasted it to Paint. Windows Vista Home Premium, Enterprise, Small Bussiness, and Ultimate have a screen shot capture tool, called the Snipping Tool. Really cool little tool you can select portions of the screen to capture. You can do a freehand capture, a rectangular capture, a window capture or of course a full screen capture. Once you capture something a preview window comes up and you can save it from there, however it cannot capture it's own window. I got that screen shot from using the PRT SCRN button. Tee hee This was one of the first things I discovered on Vista...there's a lot of stuff embedded in Flash these days to keep people from downloading it, but clearly there's no way to stop the snipping tool ;) » The-Muffin-Man on 2009-03-23 11:47:47 I agree this is a cool feature that I enjoy using sometimes. » atlmuzikfanzinc on 2009-03-23 04:00:27 ohh cool... do u have something about makin vista load faster? and IE stop lagging? » jolenesiah on 2009-03-23 10:03:30 I have no idea why but I don't have that snipping tool with my vista =( It's cool though! » Nuttz on 2009-03-25 07:51:29 I don't have the print screen on my keyboard...maybe because it's a laptop » Art4TheHomeless on 2009-03-26 11:24:36
